Tell us about yourself and what inspired you to start writing.
I am a 20-year-old poet from Višegrad, Republic of Srpska. For me, writing is a way to breathe and survive. I was inspired by a profound desire to preserve my language, history, and Serbian tradition through verse, ensuring I honor the debt I owe to my homeland and my people.
Describe your writing process? Is there anything unique about it?
My deepest verses stem from intense emotions I experience while reading or simply living through the day. I write to process the world around me. What makes my process unique is that my earliest inspiration came directly from my school lessons in literature, where I first discovered the transformative power of words.
Have you published any books or do you have a desire to do so?
Yes, I have published my first poetry collection titled "Oklop jave" (The Armor of Reality). With this book, I was honored as the best local writer in my region, which has motivated me to continue my literary journey.
Do you have any favorite poets or authors?
The poet Nenad "Jero" Radenković has had the most significant influence on me. He sparked my love for free verse, my heritage, and the Cyrillic script. His work is the foundation of my poetic expression.

Besides my own collection "Oklop jave," I constantly return to the works of Nenad Radenković Jero. Also, poetry by Ognjen Kandic, Matija Beckovic…
What are you reading now?
I am currently exploring contemporary poetry by domestic and international authors on platforms like Hello Poetry and Atunis, looking at how our tradition fits into global artistic trends.
What do you like to do when you’re not writing? Full-time job, pets, hobbies?
I like to spend time in nature, take care of my cats and enjoy the blessings that life offers me and put it on paper.
Are you working on a current project?Yes, I am currently preparing my second book, which will be a collection of love poetry. It is a new step for me, infused with pure emotion.
